We've all seen the pictures of overcrowded trains in India.

It's not hard imagining a lot of people getting injured and killed. And a lot were.

The number of accidents in 1960-61 was 2,131, which came down to 840 in 1970-71. The total number of accidents in 1980-81 was recorded at 1,013, in 1990-91 it stood at 532 accidents, and in 2010-11 there were 141 such cases, writes Business Today.

But that has changed.

In the last year, no one got killed.
